Think You Know Everything about Sex? Guess Again!

Did You Know?

...Having a headache is actually a good reason to have sex, whether with a partner or solo! Scientists have found that an orgasm is natural pain blocker, lessening your agony by up to 50%. So put the Nurofen back in the bathroom cabinet and gran your partner instead. Same goes for the period pains--if you don't feel like sex while you're on, grab your vibrator for some comfort sex, solo style.

...An orgasm maintains or even heightens a woman's sensitivity to touch. Which means that something that felt so-so--like intercourse--before you climaxed, might feel really really good afterwords.

...There are numerous documented cases of women climaxing during labour. Doctors say it's just basic science. By that, they mean a baby coming down a birth canals taking the exact same route that the penis does, only in reverse. Except a baby is even more likely to touch on those hard-to-reach spots, which is why it hurts like hell for most of us and feels like heaven for a lucky few. We love the way the female orgasm--while frustratingly elusive at times--is a powerful and mysterious force that is constantly surprising us.

Your Top Sex Fantasies Analyzed

Your Fantasy: You're a Stripper Onstage
Why It Revs You Up: Being considered drool-worthy by so many men is beyond ego-boosting, and you'd love to be confident enough about your body to bare every inch of it in public.
How to Use It: You know how amazing it feels when you primp for a party? Primping for sex can have the same effect. Wax off unwanted hair, massage shimmery lotion onto your skin, spritz on a sexy fragrance--it'll put you in the mood to show off.

Your Fantasy: Being at a stranger's mercy
Why It Revs You Up: Imagining that a guy is dominating you is the number one fantasy for women say experts. That's because we often feel like we have to keep such tight control over every aspect of our lives, so the idea of him taking control is a relief.
How to Use It: Feeling totally out of control would be scary in reality, but you can give your guy a visual cue that will inspire him to take the lead. When he's on top, raise your hands up behind your head and cross your wrists as if they were tied.

Your Fantasy: Watching Two Women Get It On
Why It Revs You Up: You know what it's like to be a woman but have no idea what a man experiences. So with only females in the picture, every kiss, touch, and lick is something you can relate to. Plus, girl-on-girl action is usually portrayed as more sensual.
How to Use It: To get more sensual lovin' from your guy, set the scene for it: Put on slow tunes, light a candle, and slip into delicate lingerie. He'll get the message that you want to take things slow.

1. For fine, thin, or limp hair: Use a spray to thicken your hair or a mousse for body and fullness of the hair.

HOW TO BE UNFORGETTABLY FABULOUS!

First off, we're sure that you are already absolutely fabulous just being you. But you can be yourself, and still work on yourself. Here are our tips on how to be unforgettably fabulous...

In Style...

Sense of style can really only be determined by each woman. Making sure your style represents who you are is important, but too much of anything never really looks good. Don't try too hard to be overly trendy, too sexy, or too conservative. It's best to opt for fashionable looks that make YOU feel comfortable and confident. A good balance is important in becoming a fabulous fashonista!

In the Bedroom...

Someone once said that we shouldn't put so much value on our sexuality because it does not define us. But if you don't, who will?! To be a truly unforgettable woman in today's world, a girl has got to know how to own her sexuality. Even though men and woman are equal--we are definitely not the same, that's the first thing you have to realize. Owning your sexuality is about discovering what works for you and what doesn't. Don't do anything you aren't comfortable with, it's just not attractive. There is nothing sexier than a woman who knows, enjoys, and understands her sexuality. Never fake it, and let him please as much (if not more!) than you please him.

Everyday...

Make a conscious decision each and every morning to seize the day. Get your head in the right place so you can navigate through the day. It's best to avoid leaving the house in a bad mood because it oftentimes sends the remainder of your day into a downward spiral. Stop and take a little meditative moment or some quiet time for yourself. Do whatever it is that helps you reset. Then go get it girl!

* PARTY FOUL! HOW YOUR PARTY COULD GO FROM BAD TO RAD*

* BEST NIGHTLIFE AT BARS IN LA! *

* BEST PLACE FOR BEER PONG * Who doesn’t love a good game of Beer Pong? And just in case you’ve never heard of it: Plastic cups of beer—usually ten per team—are set up in a billiards-style triangle formation on each end of a table. Opposing teams attempt to lob Ping-Pong balls into the suds. The team with the least success drinks the beers—after, (we hope!) removing the balls. The Hollywood location Big Wangs has the dim lights, sticky floors, garlicky Buffalo wings, and $13 pitchers of beer that make for an ambiance as sophisticated as the game. Dedication to the sport is demonstrated by the two shiny beer pong tables in the center of the room (although nearly two dozen TVs also vie for the players attention.)

* BEST PLACE TO ROCK OUT *
Every kind of guitar that can cry the blues, blast rock, or croon a country tune makes it onstage at some point during Guitarology. The brainchild of Stephen Patt, a Santa Monica physician who was a founding member of the late ‘60’s group the Chambers Brothers, the Wednesday night jamfest at the Melody Bar and Grill features a different guest artist each week playing with Patt’s house band. You never know who’s going to materialize in the audience and be wooed onstage. Neil Young bassist Rick Rosas has held court, as has Pete Anderson from Dwight Yokam’s band. The service is attentive and the food is fresher than the trapped-in-the-70s look.

* BEST PLACE TO PRETEND YOUR ON SPRING BREAK *
Tequila Tequila! Among the more than 100 tequilas and mescals is the entire line of Del Maguey “single village” mescals, artisanal creations of small Mexican communities. General manager Raul Yrastorza infuses other smoky distillations with loose-leaf teas from the Grand Central Market. He collaborated
with River’s Julian Cox to fashion fanciful cocktails that taste like a taco or a Manhattan or both.

* BEST PICKUP LINES *
Try out a contemporary line like “I’d like to know you in a more Facebook kind of way.” HAH! There are quirky ones that demonstrate knowledge of indie films “Lets sneak up on some ribs.” But the best pickup line may be surprisingly simple, “Are you foreign?” It implies that the target is different from and more exotic than the rest of the crowd. It can start as a guessing game, “Where do you think I’m from?” It allows both parties to name drop countries that they have visited. Best of all-it shows your interest!

"I Will Never EVER Drink Again!"

We've all been there. You just couldn't resist that one (or four) delicious looking apple-tinis? Here are some tips that may make your morning a little brighter. Hair of the Dog
What about the “hair of the dog that bit you” – drinking more of the previous night’s poison? Some claim this popular antidote is a sure-fire way to feel better. But others say it only delays the inevitable and will make you feel worse, no matter how much better you feel in the short term. If starting the morning with a drink triggers a gag reflex, try a Virgin Mary. The tomato juice in this vodka-free Bloody Mary is high in fructose, which will help your body metabolize the alcohol in last night’s cocktails more efficiently.

Have Sex
With your beer goggles gone, he might not look as hot as he did last night. However, the best help for your hangover could be lying right next to you. Sex releases endorphins, which reduce hangover symptoms. Plus you’ll burn off a few of last night’s liquid calories. Skeptical? Try it anyway!

Sweat It Out
If your body can handle it, drag yourself out of bed, lace up your sneakers and go for a run (or walk). Exercise increases circulation and ushers those toxins out of your body. But don’t push yourself too hard. Strenuous exercise is apt to dehydrate you further and make you feel worse. However, a brief, brisk walk can get your blood going and speed the removal of toxic wastes from cells and tissues. You’ll probably feel more like lying on the couch all day, but you’ll be stuck there a long time if you don’t try to get moving.

Take Your Vitamins
Alcohol reacts chemically in your body to deplete your stores of vitamins A, B (especially B6) and C, which can intensify hangover symptoms. Look to B vitamins (especially B6) to help your body metabolize and get rid of alcohol that’s hanging around and causing problems. Prickly pear extract, found at health-supplement stores, may relieve dry mouth and nausea by reducing inflammation caused by cogeners (impurities found in low-quality alcohol).

Painkillers, Please!
You’ll be tempted to pop pills to ease the pain, but be careful what you take. Avoid acetaminophen, found in over-the-counter medications such as Tylenol. When taken with alcohol or to nurse a hangover, it can cause liver damage. Ibuprofen doesn’t mix well with alcohol either. It can cause stomach irritation and bleeding, especially when you continually use it to treat hangovers or take more than the recommended dosage. So, what can you take? Try aspirin for your headache, but only if you’re not too queasy!

It's Time To Par-tayyy!! JELLO SHOTS!

..:*Watermelon Jell-O Shots*:..
Sour Apple Schnapps – Fantastic flavor, tastes exactly like a Jolly Rancher candy.
Tequila – Complex, tangy flavor, has a bite to it.
Midori – Sweet, more of a generic melon flavor.

..:*Orange Jell-O Shots*:..
Peach Schnapps – Use for a Fuzzy Navel effect. Sweet and mellow flavor.
Tequila – Tangy and spicy, the orange really smooths out the tequila.
Captain Morgan’s - Sweet and spicy, would be good for the holidays.
Amaretto – Tastes like a creamsicle or Orange Julius.
Malibu – Very smooth, pleasant coconut aftertaste.
Southern Comfort – Sweet with a bit more alcoholic bite and edge than schnapps.

..:*Lime Jell-O:*"..
Absolut Citron – Crisp and lively citrus flavor.
Tequila – Plain tequila and lime is the quick and dirty way to make a “margarita” shot.

Prepare these shots by dissolving 3 oz. Jell-O in 1 cup boiling water, then adding 8oz. (1 cup) of cold liquid – straight alcohol, a mixture of liqueur and vodka, or alcohol and cold water. For flavored liquors (Absolut Citron, Malibu, Captain Morgan’s) use 1 cup of liquor. For strong tasting, high proof liquors (tequila and rum) use a mixture of 4 oz. liquor and 4 oz. cold water.

..:* THE BAD GIRL'S GUIDE TO GOOD HEALTH *:..

New research shows that some seemingly naughty behaviors can actually be beneficial. Here, which vices to indulge.

Scientists have already given their blessings to guilty pleasures such as nibbling chocolate (it's high in antioxidants) and sipping wine (red vino is heart-healthy). Now, studies are finding upsides to other so-called bad behaviors. Some things-like smoking or an addition to cookies and cream-we'd love to endorse, but these naughty habits can feel good and be good for you.

Getting Pissed Off Can Keep Stress In Check
A little anger may be a tonic for your mind and your body. For example, new studies suggest that riled-up people make better decisions. And researchers at Carneige Mellon University found that anger-as opposed to fear or anxiety- can prompt your brain to release less cortisol, the powerful stress hormone linked to problems like obesity, bone loss, and heart disease. "Traditionally, it has been difficult for women to express anger effectively, because we're 'supposed' to act nurturing and sensitive," says Julie K. Normen, Ph.D., author of The Positive Power of Negative Thinking. So let your ire out. Just don't go overboard; chronic rage is unproductive.

Downing Coffee Could Cut Your Caner Risk
Coffee's most exalted attribute--energy boosting caffeine--has nothing on its real health superpowers. Studies show that drinking daily joe may minimize your risk for Parkinson's disease, cancer, and type 2 diabetes. Why? Most chronic diseases are related to inflammation, and coffee is chock-full of anti-inflammatory compounds, says Shelley McGuire, Ph.D., an associate professor of nutrition at Washington State University. Coffee also has more antioxidants than almost any other food. Sip one to three high-octane or decaf cups a day, but make sure you steer clear of fat traps such as whipped-cream-topped lattes. "If you're piling on calories, " warns McGuire, "you're probably wiping out the benefits."

Cheating Hearts

by Stephanie Laurtizen

“Cheating is anything your partner does that he/she wouldn’t do in your presence” –Tasha Cunningham, author of So The Bastard Broke Your Heart, Now What?
“Cheating is also about intent,” says Cecily Knobler, a relationship writer and author of She’s Crazy He’s a Liar – Now What? “It doesn’t have to be just sex, making out, or kissing.” If your partner is collecting phones numbers with plans of drunk dialing those people when you’re not around, that could be considered cheating too.
Don’t let a guy pull a Jesse James on You! Straying. Indiscretions. Sleeping Around. No matter what you call it, cheating is a harsh reality. When your lover has another, it’s time to stop being angry-and start getting even- or better yet- moving on!

Hey, It's OK! ...

...to laugh so loudly that everybody stares.
...to spend a whole happy hour making up names for that band you all are totally going to start.
...if the erotic appeal of toe-sucking completely baffles you.
...to not have the kind of dad who plays golf, wears a tie, and serves as your personal ATM. (Hear that, greeating card people?)
...if you have a "type." The heart wants what it wants. Also, the loins. They want what they want too.
...to tell him you need more than a drawer at his place. Please: counter space in the bathroom, room in the closet, and a spot for your soy milk. Let's be real.
...to have a couple of holdover phrases from high school that you just can't get rid of. Sweet!

Set the Trend

Sleek & Edgy
Offering an unexpected mix of textures and proportions, this style is both tough and tender. Hair is smooth and glamorous, which boosts a sexy tomboy look, as do the tailored shorts and fitted leather jacket. A shimmering tank and matching accessories inject a shot of excitement.

Bright & Light
A look that’s sexy and fresh, this style focuses on texture and softness with few distractions. Looks
This understated but powerful style provides the perfect backdrop for a spectacular hair. The classic black and white color palette is minimally adored with chunky metal jewelry and a strong shoe, letting the hair’s incredible volume and softness take center stage.

Bohemian Chic
Centered around a colorful, exotic pattern and naturally lush hair, this laid-back look is all about freedom. A feminine dress stays relaxed with a casual cover-up and earthy accessories. Hair is just as easygoing-gorgeous and healthy, with cascading loose curls.

Think Thinner

Health Now. A happier, healthier girls night out. Break out your Manolos! Sex and the City2, out this month, will inspire you to head out with your friends. Here, how to have a fab time-and still feel fine in the a.m.

Invite Right. We all need the occasional bitchfest over beer, but be sure to include upbeat friends in your party. Research from Harvard and the University of California, San Diego, found that every happy person in your social circle can raise your spirits by 9 percent.

Brighten Up. Wearing spring colors like yellow and pink may help you feel happier and more energized, experts say.

Think Thinner. The chips and guac are calling? Try this: Start a convo with a friend who has no problem saying no. “Just thinking about her-how long you’ve known her, what her traits are-that’s enough to help you stay in control”, says Michelle van Dellen, PhD, a visiting psychology professor at the University of Georgia, who has done a number of studies on this surprising effect. “Even just keeping some pictures of people whose habits you admire on your phone could help.” This trick can improve your own willpower by bringing certain thoughts, like self control, to the front of your mind.

Detox Deliciously. If you see an asparagus appetizer on the menu, order it. The veggie is chock full of amino acids important to metabolizing alcohol, so it may ease hangovers, whether you eat it before or after drinking, according to a study in the Journal of Food Science.

Styling Tips for the Party Girl

GET A PERFECT AT-HOME BLOW-OUT

Who doesn't love that fresh-from-the-salon, blow-dried look? We asked on Saradeth of Pon International in Anaheim Hills, CA to offer his tips for perfect at-home results. For starters, be sure to use the right product for your hair type.
  • FINE, THIN OR LIMP HAIR: Use a thickening spray or mousse for subtle body and fullness.
  • NORMAL OR STRAIGHT HAIR: Try a lightweight styling lotion for just a hint of control.
  • COARSE, WAVY OR CURLY HAIR: Add a straightening product to damp strands.
  • FIGHT FRIZZ: Add a few drops of shine serum if your hair is prone to drizz.
Once you've got the right products, here's how to blow-dry like a pro:

Attach a concentrator onto your blow dryer, grab a paddle brush and work with one section at a time. Using the flat edge of the brush, smooth smaller sections straight, pulling with slight tension with the concentrator right on the brush. Continue until all sections are done and then style as desired.

Grand Marnier on the Rocks

Let me tell you about this Bachelorette Party that I recently went to. Go with me on this, Grand Marnier on the Rocks is My Signature Drink. I love this drink! People tell me that you don't drink Grand Marnier on the rocks because it is a liqueur but I love it, so I drink it.

Now back to the story, we were in Vegas at Chippendales for the Bachelorette Party and let me just say, those men are Hunky Hottt! So Hot, I wanted to lick them clean! The bartender asked me what if I would like a drink, so I asked for a Grand Marnier on the Rocks. Lets just say I had a few before I dismissed myself to the bathroom. In the powder room as I was reapplying my lipstick when I realized that there was something wet dripping onto my new, gorgeous, expensive, stilletto heels! I look down and I realize that while I was exiting my stall, that the tail end of my skirt had fallen in the toilet. It was quite the moment.

Bottom line, it is hard to keep it together when your dealing with that liquid poision and Remember. . .

Beauty to me is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick-ass red lipstick.
